He’s also a really interesting and fun guy with a great personality. Andy, who’s originally from Germany, moved to Tallinn from Florida 6 years ago, when he met his current wife (Estonian) while studying in the same university.

Briox develops and licenses an accounting program "Briox" designed to facilitate financial reporting and bookkeeping for accounting agencies, companies, organizations and schools. Briox's entirely cloud-based system is sold mainly in Finnish, Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian markets.

Meet Vabaduse centre member Kristjan Prik, a graphic designer at the agency Made By. Kristjan’s an excellent example of how a company can function superbly even without a larger office of its own – it could place all its employees in coworking centres. Kristjan works in our dedicated desk area, where he chose the desk that was best for positioning screens and had enough natural light, which is also something that a designer needs.

Meet Nigel Goodman from Workland Vabaduse centre. Nigel runs a company called Gaea. “Gaea was established in the UK in 1994 as a consultancy, so I’m the oldest start-up in Estonia!” explains Nigel, who moved to Estonia from Sweden, tired of its "oh-so-slow bureaucracy". He chose Estonia after reading about our digital economy and the ease of starting a company. Coming to scope out Tallinn he found a good vegan community and joined a Climate LaunchPad Team the same weekend.

Kaidi graduated from the TalTech Lisbon Joint Course in Architecture, meaning that courses took place in different countries. Last fall, Kaidi and her coursemate Robin (who is French but lives in Helsinki) decided to start an architecture bureau. They are working on several projects and as fresh starters still developing their customer base. Kaidi is located in Estonia and Robin in Helsinki, but they are both looking for projects around the world. In the beginning, they took part in several international architectural competitions to get an idea of the architecture and culture of the different countries.
