Although most people associate summer with time off, the holiday usually lasts only a few weeks up to a month. What about the rest of this season? Even when working, you want to spend it in a special way and perhaps escape to nature, attend events and enjoy the good weather during the week too. If you work from home, you might feel the urge to leave during the weekends; however, why not change the environment on weekdays too? We are big believers in changing the environment; it just gives that extra splash of creativity and fuels productivity.

Here are five tips on how to enjoy working in the summertime and change the scenery in an effective way.

 1. Go for a walk

Spend time outside. Walk whenever you can, as much as you can. In the morning, in the evening, when you go to work when you return from the office. Make sure you enjoy the summer breeze and take advantage of the atmosphere that you can use later at your office.

2. Have lunch outside

Eat your lunch on a terrace or have a picnic in a nice, open space during your lunch break - it can be incredibly relaxing. After eating, put your sunnies on, plug into some noise-cancelling headphones, lie back and relax in the sun. For an hour, you can pretend you're on holiday, relaxing on a remote beach or in the peaceful countryside.

3. Take a workation

We’ve been taught to keep work and play apart, but as the business is becoming more flexible, work-life integration works for many. Workcation combines work and vacation, enabling us to take advantage of the good weather and explore some other places for a change. You probably noticed how after changing the environment, you feel completely different, full of new energy and even work becomes much more pleasant and efficient. After all, it's not for nothing that we go abroad, by the sea or to country houses on vacation - it helps to refresh our thoughts and return to work with new energy.

When you actually need a printer, a scanner, a desk and some people around you…. Check out the local coworking spaces. Fortunately, your office can be anywhere now; just choose your preferred location and make some new connections while you’re there. Some places are so good that will definitely spark your creativity.

4. Work in an inspiring coworking space

Change the scenery by changing a work environment. It's extra beneficial when your colleagues are on holiday or working remotely, and you're rather lonely at the office. A coworking space provides you real comfort: from free coffee and fast internet to the help of community assistants and a new business network.

There are quiet, calm areas designed for concentrated work as well as lounges, common use areas with a great cosy atmosphere to meet new people and have a relaxed chat.

Joining a coworking space is the most flexible form of having an office. There's no need for a long-term commitment; you can use the coworking space membership for just one day, a week or several days over a month. Workland's fully serviced offices and coworking spaces offer multiple membership types to suit your specific needs. Moreover, you're welcome to try out the coworking space totally free of charge - opt for a free trial day via our website

If you like to work at unusual hours, say from early morning or late at night, is not a problem either. Coworking spaces are open 24/7. Comfort, inspiring interior and simply the best environment for your work will always be waiting for you.

5. Raise the productivity to have more time off

A change of environment does not only make you feel more relaxed, but it can also help you perform tasks more efficiently. Efficiency and productivity mean less time spent on work and extra hours for yourself, your friends, and your family.

According to the Harvard business review, a stressful workplace reduces employees' wish to work, while a modern and inspiring environment increases productivity. When choosing a calm, inspiring workplace, it is likely that you will work much more efficiently. What's better than a job well done and more free time?

Summer is a great time for new acquaintances and ideas

Make the most of the summer months - by joining the Workland community, you will not only increase your productivity, but you will probably meet new clients or business partners, or perhaps just make cool friendships and develop new great ideas.

Up your networking by attending Workland community events - breakfasts, after-work drinks, workshops, and professional meetups.

Use location hopping or pop by any Workland in Vilnius, Kaunas, Riga and Tallinn

In most Workland business centres you will find terraces and/or balconies where you can not only enjoy a cup of delicious coffee but also work. Also, you can reach the city's coolest cafes and bars in just a few minutes, thus saving time and making the most of the summer season.
