The work environment supports business growth

With one of the world's most powerful payments and banking infrastructures, the company's technology empowers businesses of all sizes to accept payments, move money globally, and simplify their financial operations in one platform.

Airwallex's journey started in 2015 in Melbourne. They have grown since reaching across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America. At the same time, the Lithuanian entity supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with their payments infrastructure and global payment needs and houses the company's service centre (operations hub) for EMEA operations.

The team is highly motivated, dynamic and diverse, committed to connecting the world with smart and simple technology. Being a global organization operating across 19 locations globally, Airwallex has always had a flexible working environment to support its customers and partners across multiple markets. "This is why we chose to open an office at Workland, as they embody a flexible and hybrid approach to work," – says Airwallex manager Virgilijus Mirkes.

Laura Panovienė, general manager of Workland Lithuania, says that for such fast-growing companies, flexibility, a variety of services, and a supportive community are the key aspects when choosing a workspace.

Convenient location & professional services

On 10 October 2022, Airwallex announced they raised an additional US$100 million and sustained their valuation at US$5.5 billion.

"Some of the reasons we picked Workland was, as previously mentioned, the flexibility to work in a hybrid environment. In addition, we were taken by the Workland team's friendliness, professionalism, great services and easy-to-access location in the heart of Lithuania's fintech, banking and consulting centre. From the moment you enter the building to when you leave, the Workland team is incredibly helpful, quick to respond and sincere. They've been a great property partner and provide A++ amenities in a truly special atmosphere," says V. Mirkes.

A decade of Workland: stories from the community that grew with us

Ten years ago, Workland began with a simple idea: to create workplaces where businesses could grow alongside one another. Today, that idea has evolved into an international network of communities across the Baltics, shaped not only by offices and locations but by the people who work within them every day. To celebrate Workland’s 10th anniversary, we spoke with long-standing members across Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania. Their experiences reveal how shared spaces become part of business journeys, professional milestones, and everyday life.
